Fair pay petition

There are concerns the fair pay agreements could be a wrecking ball to the economy. The Act party has launched a petition against the agreements which would see minimum standards set up for employers and employees in an industry or profession. The aim of the agreements is to aid recovery and improve conditions and pay. Act says the Labour party is blinded by its prounion bias. Act Leader David Seymour says the idea is undemocratic and that a minority of workers could force the majority to take a union contract.
