Lighting up the sky

— AP, news.com.au

A string of lights that crossed the night sky in parts of the US last week had some people wondering if a fleet of UFOS was coming, but it had others lamenting the industrialisation of space.

The train of lights was actually a series of relatively low-flying satellites launched by Elon Musk’s Spacex as part of its Starlink internet service. Callers swamped TV stations from Texas to Wisconsin reporting the lights and musing about UFOS.

Meanwhile, China’s out-ofcontrol space junk has finally plummeted to Earth, reportedly burning up over the ocean, with many certain they saw the debris fall.

According to People’s Daily China, the chunk of China’s

Long March 5B rocket landed at longitude 72.47 degrees east and latitude 2.65 degrees north yesterday afternoon.

Most of the debris reportedly broke up over the Indian Ocean, near the Maldives.

People in the Middle East and Spain were certain they’d seen it re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere, taking videos of small specks of light flying through the sky sharing them on Twitter.
