Black Sticks named
Hockey: New Zealand’s hockey teams have been named for the Tokyo Olympics, and both feature new faces. Sean Findlay’s booked his ticket to the Games with the Black Sticks men. The under-21 player of the year is headed to his first games with four caps, while his team-mate Shea Mcaleese is going to his fourth. The men will be captained by Blair Tarrant. In the women’s side, Olivia Shannon, Katie Doar and Hope Ralph will make their Olympic debuts. Skipper Stacey Michelsen and vicecaptain Samantha Charlton are both heading to their third Games. The squads head to Perth next Friday to play two double-headers against Australia on June 26 and 27.
