Boil water notice
Tararua District Council has advised Eketahuna residents to boil their water after heavy rainfall this week. The council said the source water had become turbid and was not compliant with NZ Drinking Water Standards.
The Midcentral District Health Board needed to obtain three consecutive days of clear tests before they could lift the boil water notice. There was no E. coli detected in the water supply.
TDC advised Eketahuna residents to boil water before drinking it, making ice, preparing food, brushing teeth, and preparing infant formula. An update would be provided on Monday, September 20.
