LOST AND FOUND by Toni Street

Toni Street has graced our television screens in a variety of roles and always presents in an endearing way. Recently we saw her tireless efforts, passion and compassion when she was presenter for the Tokyo Olympics. Many would have seen her story on TVNZ Sunday programme and realise her own personal hurdles she’s had to navigate in life and with her family. Her new book extends from that interview and documents her personal challenges, joys and lows too. Staff member Karen recently read her book and here is her review:

“I could hear Toni’s voice telling the story as I read, it is beautiful and sad all rolled into one and I even shed tears ... You won’t be disappointed. This is an honest and straightforward account of the events that have shaped the bubbly TV presenter’s life. The loss of three siblings made her strive to be the best daughter she could be to her parents as she couldn’t bear the thought of them suffering the loss of another child should something happen to her or her younger sister Kirsty. Imagine the heartache when she learnt that she had the rare auto-immune disorder of Churg-strauss Syndrome which was nally diagnosed following her second pregnancy. Unable to go through another pregnancy but still wanting another baby, Toni’s best friend offered to be the surrogate. This is a story of hope and happiness, not a tale of woe and worry.”

Highly recommended. RRP $36.99
